Essential Question:

Has military technology has had a positive or negative effect on today's society?

I think that military technology has had both a positive and negative effect on today's society because with the biological warfare that'll be a negative effect. It could cause problems with other countries attacking us with the same stuff and it could cause problems with radiation and death everywhere. A positive effect was that the Iron man suit protecting our military forces into being stronger faster and immune to bullets! But no flying sadly. It has night vision, able to see through walls, super strength, and like I said immune to bullets.

History of Biological Warfare

Attempts to use biological warfare agents date back to antiquity. Scythian archers infected their arrows by dipping them in decomposing bodies or in blood mixed with manure as far back as 400 BC. Persian, Greek, and Roman literature from 300 BC quotes examples of dead animals used to contaminate wells and other sources of water. In the Battle of Eurymedon in 190 BC, Hannibal won a naval victory over King Eumenes II of Pergamon by firing earthen vessels full of venomous snakes into the enemy ships.

During World War II, Japanese forces operated a secret biological warfare research facility (Unit 731) in Manchuria that carried out human experiments on prisoners. They exposed more than 3,000 victims to plague, anthrax, syphilis, and other agents in an attempt to develop and observe the disease. Some victims were executed or died from their infections. Autopsies were also performed for greater understanding of the effects on the human body.

Aspects of Biological Warfare

Biological warfare weaponry is inexpensive compared to nuclear weaponry, nuclear weaponry can destroy all life on earth, biological warfare will only hurt humans and animals ;biological warfare does not effect plants and earth itself. You can control how deadly the agents is and you can also choose how suffer able you want the agent to be. Nuclear warfare will kill fast but you will suffer alot. biological warfare is 5 times more inexpensive than nuclear warfare, you can buy 5 biological warheads for every one nuclear warhead.
